There was a glimpse of a smile at the end of a long TT fortnight at the Manx Telecom Post TT Races as Davy managed to get the Davy Morgan #71 RRSC 250cc Honda to the chequered flag.

In the traditional end of TT Event on the Billown Circuit in the south of the island for the 250cc Race Davy had qualified on the front row beside Chris Palmer and William Dunlop.

A solid start to the race saw Davy in second place, but Palmer quickly pulled out a good lead and at half distance he led by over five seconds. As the race progressed Davy did close the gap down, but Palmer had enough to take the win with Davy not far behind in second.

Speaking later a pleased Davy commented, "That was hard work, after the fortnight we have just had i kept expecting it to breakdown, but it got me home and i have to be pleased with that. I did reel Chris (Palmer) in from half distance on and i rode hard to try and get to him, but i think he had it under control. It in no way makes up for the TT dissappointment, but we need to try and forget it now and move on. Bush is next all being well, but whether i have a 600 or not is still doubtful as we try to get a working engine, we will have to wait and see."
