Weather Conditions were not
much better for the final practice on
Saturday with wet roads and a strong wind
so it was just a case of getting in another
couple of laps. Davy managed to get a
lap on each of the Classic bikes. On the
CSC Branson 350cc Honda it was the sixth
fastest time of the night at just over
88mph and on the CSC Branson 500cc Honda
it was the fourteenth fastest time at
just over 86mph as conditions deteriorated.
Just before the start of the second practice
session the heavens opened and the circuit
was now really wet, so Davy along with
quite a few other riders decided it was
time to pack up and head back to the paddock.
That finished practice for the Manx Grand
Prix Practice and it was a days rest before
Davy’s first Race on Monday, the
Junior Classic over four laps starting
at 1:15pm weather permitting.

Speaking
later a relaxed Davy commented, “It
was just another wobble round tonight
on the two Classic’s, but by the
time the second session was due to start
on the 250 the conditions were worse than
Friday so there was nothing to be achieved
other than putting unnecessary miles on
the bike so we decided to call it a night.
I am now looking forward to a lie in tomorrow
and then towards racing next week when
hopefully the weather will be kinder”. |
