Another disappointing for the
Davy Morgan Racing Team in Fridays Senior
TT as he retired on the opening lap
with machine problems. It was always
a risk after the practice lap on Wednesday
being cancelled.

Things started well as he took it steady
for the first few miles to see if the
Fireblade was running properly and it
seemed to be, but the electrical gremlins
bit back and Davy was forced to retire
at Signpost.
It was a disappointing end to what has
been a difficult and trying TT. Preparations
were not ideal due to being taken out
during the first race at the North West
meant not being able to get important
racing miles and caused the injury to
his elbow. Then a run of machine problems
on the island just added to the frustrations
as everyone knows Davy is capable of better.
A down hearted Davy speaking afterwards,
“Devastated, its been a nightmare,
I had caught James (McBride) by Ballacraine
and thought the problem had been resolved
but it hadn’t so another DNF. I
just want to get out of here”.
