Conditions
were not just as good for the final practice
session of the 2009 TT and with a shortened
session to give the sidecars more time
the plan was to do one lap on the superbike
and then one lap on the superstock.

There was drama just before the start
of practice when the CSC Branson R1 Yamaha
developed a fuel leak, which put paid
to any chance of getting a lap on it.
So Davy headed off from the grandstand
on the CSC Branson Honda Fireblade and
the adjustments carried out by the team
made the bike fell a lot more stable as
he took the plunge down Bray Hill, so
he was looking to register a better lap
time.
The gremlins however, struck again and
the bike developed a misfire on the run
to Ballacraine seven miles out and with
no bike to go back out on at the paddock
there was no point nursing it round to
the paddock so he retired at Ballacraine
and that was that, a really short final
session.
A frustrated and angry Davy speaking
afterwards, “What a disaster
after the changes the blade felt really
good and I felt confident that I could
better my lap time, but it was not to
be, hopefully we can get it sorted for
tomorrow. I would like to thank all my
sponsors including, CSC Branson, BLRC,
Strangford Holiday Park and my Supporters
Club, without whose help I would not be
here, I just hope our luck changes and
I can give them some decent race results
starting tomorrow.”. |
