| Davy Morgan Racing had one
of those days that you just want to forget
at the North West 200, he did not even
get one complete racing lap around the
nine mile north coast triangle on race
day.
On the opening lap of the opening race
Davy was T-Boned at the University and
got his arm caught between the two bikes
as he went down and damaged his elbow.
After getting checked by the doctors and
taking on board their advice he decided
he was not fit enough to take his CSC
Branson machines to the line and had to
sit out the remainder of the meeting.
A real disappointment for everyone involved
and another hefty unwanted bill for leathers,
boots and gloves. That’s the report
for the 2009 NW200 race day short, but
definitely not sweet.
Speaking afterwards an angry, Davy commented:
“I want to apologise to everyone
concerned with the team that I could not
get out there, so many people worked hard
this week and before that to get me ready
to go today and then a stupid mistake,
not even my own and it all goes down the
pan and we are left kicking our heels.
There is also the extra expense that we
could have done without on our already
tight budge.. I just hope the injury is
not too serious as I am due to head to
the TT in less than two weeks”. |
