| Davy Morgan will
go in to next years Road Race Season armed
with a full complement of well-prepared,
top quality Honda Machinery. The Saintfield
lorry driver will be running his own team
in 2007 and everyone involved is confident
that the support and sponsorship now in
place will ensure that the season ahead
will be enjoyable and successful at both
the International and National Road Race
meetings.
Morgan had an indifferent 2006 with an
excellent start to the season, which brought
wins at Cookstown and Tandragee along
with a number of other top six finishes
and an impressive seventh place in the
prestigious Senior TT. Things went a bit
array after this when a few problems both
on and off track blighted the middle of
his 2006 campaign, but Davy turned it
around and hopes to carry his good end
of season form, which included the Outright
Lap Record at the Boyne Road Races in
to the season ahead.

At a press launch in the La-Mon House Hotel hosted by the Ballygowan and District
Road Race Supporters Club, Davy announced
his team and plans for 2007.
With the exception of a couple that he
has chosen not to compete at, the plan
at this time is to do as many Irish National
Road Races as finances will allow, the
Southern 100 and the three International
meetings with obviously a big emphasis
on the Centenary TT, although he would
like another North West win and really
wants to improve his performances at the
Ulster Grand Prix around the Dundrod Circuit.
Davy’s first outing of 2007 and
a first chance to see the new stunning
metallic gunmetal Hondas will hopefully
be at the Enkalon Trophy meeting at Bishopscourt
on Easter Saturday when he hopes to be
out in the 250cc and Superbike classes.
Long time sponsor and friend Kevin Wood
continues his association with Davy Morgan
Racing and his Investasure Financial Services
Honda Fireblade Superbike, which Davy
rode at the end of 2006 has been updated
and prepared with a 2006 engine by ace
tuner Chris Mayhew. Davy has taken delivery
from Honda one of the new CBR600RR Supersport
machines, which is supplied by John McKeown
of Autotech Driver & Rider Training,
although it is not race ready yet it is
hoped that come Cookstown the remainder
of the parts on order will have arrived
from Honda. To complete the machinery
package and ensure a busy race schedule
the engine of Davy’s own 250cc Honda
has now been rebuilt with help from Honda
Racing UK and the continued backing of
the Ballygowan & District Road Race
Supporters Club has resulted in a few
improvements to make it even more competitive
than last year before the engine problems.
A new race transporter has been purchased
and prepared and is supplied by Allan
Frew of Annadale Design and a spacious
service van is supplied courtesy of Andy
McCann of CarNETcarsales.Com, both of
which are crucial in the successful running
of a Road Race Team.
There is a host of other people, sponsors
and partners involved in the project and
Davy Morgan would thank them all for their
support including: Helmetstop a new venture
by Owen Brothers Honda, which is providing
Davy with Helmets, boots and gloves, BLRC
Belfast Land Rover Center, Macleay Engineering,
Red Bay Boats, Walsh Western, TranAm,
Q8 Oils, John Bell and the Two Stroke
Supporters Club. Visit Davy’s website

and contacts if you would like to become
part of the team and receive a portfolio.
