2006 Kells: Morgan gives Kells Race Day a Miss

The frantic month of July for Irelands Road Racers continued and it is a month that Davy will want to forget, as he made the trip to one of the most popular road races on the calendar.

Suffering from broken bones in his foot and feeling very sore after his 'off' at Walderstown seven days earlier Davy took to the track for Saturday practice. In great weather, the demanding circuit took its toll on Davy as he struggled to hold on the Autotech 600 Kawasaki and Investasure Racing Honda Fireblade over the famous jumps and heavy braking.

On the Sunday morning still feeling very sore, Davy took the correct decision to give the days racing a miss and give himself a rest and his body time to recover.

Speaking on Sunday afternoon Davy said; "I wish I was out there now, but after yesterdays practice over the jumps and heavy braking, my body was telling me that I can't do it - and the safest and wisest decision was to park the bikes up and give today's racing a miss." he continued, "I will take a couple of weeks off and get prepared for the Mid-Antrim, which is one of my least favourite tracks. Then a phone call later, well maybe I will go to Faugheen, I will see how I feel."

There is no keeping a good man down.
