In the combined 600cc/250cc Race at the Post TT Steam Packet races around the Billown Circuit in the south of the Isle of Man Davy Morgan took a comfortable second place in the 250cc Race on the Ballgowan RRSC backed Honda, behind Chris Palmer and well clear of Alan Bud Jackson.

A tired Davy said, “I was both physically and mentally drained after the TT, but I had been asked and promised the organisers that I would ride the 250 at their meeting. Palmer got well ahead in the early laps so I just rode then for a safe second.”
