Davy and his supporters club, will
continue their association with Action Cancer
and Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children
in 2013, by continuing to raise money selling
his famous pink helmet replica pin badges
and a contribution from all Merchandise sold
at race meetings.
The three pin badges can be bought separately
at £3 each or £5 for two or £7
for the set of three with a contribution from
each badge going to Action Cancer & NICFC.
Our thanks goes to all those kind people
who sold and more importantly bought our pin-badges
and merchandise in the past four years and
not only supported Davy, but also this very
important and life changing cause. We hope
that once again in 2013 that the racing fraternity
will show their generosity and help to support
Action Cancer & NICFC.

At their Annual Dinner
Dance at the La-Mon Hotel & Country Club
on November 3rd 2012; the Davy Morgan #71 Road
Racing Supporters Club and Davy Morgan Racing
showed their continued support for Cancer Charities
by adding to the £10,350 they have contributed
in recent years.
Saintfield Road Racer Davy Morgan and his Supporters
Club, despite finding the past season one of
the toughest yet financially; still managed
to present a cheque for £1000 to the Northern
Ireland Cancer Fund for Children from the sale
of merchandise and their Pin Badges modelled
on Davy’s famous Pink Helmet at race meetings
throughout Ireland, UK and Isle of Man. In previous
years the team and DM#71 Road Racing Supporters
Club’s main charity was Action Cancer,
but for 2012 the decision was taken that since
their third and final pin badge was promoting
Children’s Cancer Awareness that it would
be appropriate to support a Children’s
Cancer Charity as well and the Northern Ireland
Cancer Fund for Children was chosen.
The club have not forgotten Action Cancer and
the good relationship that has been built up
with them over the past four years, so the plan
is to make a presentation to them at the “Davy
Morgan Golf Day” on Friday 22nd March
2013 at Knock Golf Club.
Davy Morgan Racing and the DM#71 Road Racing
Supporters Club would like to thank everyone
who purchased Badges or Merchandise throughout
2012 for their support and generosity. |

Knock Golf Club was the
venue on Friday 30th March 2012, for the now
annual Davy Morgan Golf Day sponsored by Belfast
Honda, BSS Group and EH Services. During the
evening Davy Morgan Racing presented a cheque
to Action Cancer for £1500.00, which was
raised with the continued sale of their 2009
& 2010 Pin Badges and a donation from all
merchandise sold at the race transporter at
race meetings during the 2011 Road Race Season.
Having just completed their third year of association
with Action Cancer it brings the total raised
and presented to Action Cancer to £8,000
with a further £2,350 presented to other
Cancer Charities. It means that Davy Morgan
Racing with the help and support of the Davy
Morgan #71 Road Racing Supporters Club has handed
over an amazing £10,350.00 since 2009.
This total is way beyond anything anticipated
and for a small privateer racing team which
needs every penny raised just to keep Davy on
track, is a credit to their hard work and generosity.
Davy and his Supporters Club will continue
to raise funds for Cancer Charity’s in
2012, but as well as their association with
Action Cancer they will also support the Northern
Ireland Cancer Fund for Children and specifically
their Shimna Valley Respite Centre. This is
due to the fact that the team will be promoting
“Childhood Cancer Awareness” in
2012 and all monies raised will be split between
the two charity’s.
At the Davy Morgan Golf Day, the team launched
their New Pin Badge for 2012, which despite
still being based on Davy’s Pink Hemet
has a completely different look to the previous
two. It is looking at the front rather than
the side of the helmet, is done with gold trim
rather than silver and will carry a Gold Ribbon,
#71 and the text Childhood Cancer Awareness.
A donation from the sale of every badge sold
will go to the two charity’s and the DM#71RRSC
has again agreed that a donation from all merchandise
sold at the race events will also be passed
on to the two charity’s at the end of
the season. |

Kerry Anderson from Action Cancer
commented; “This is the
third year I have had the pleasure of being
invited to a Davy Morgan Racing event to receive
a cheque on behalf of Action Cancer. It’s
great that the Davy Morgan Supporters Club
and Action Cancer have been able to develop
this relationship and we are delighted to
hear that it will continue for another year.
The amount of money raised in three years
by the club is brilliant and it is very much
appreciated at Action Cancer as it has allowed
us to help a lot of people who are going through
tough times. Thanks again for your support
and we hope the sales of your new badge will
go well and of course wish Davy himself a
safe and successful 2012.”
Lorna Watson, Northern Ireland Children
Cancer Fund, Community Fundraiser says;
“We are delighted to have the support
from the Davy Morgan Road Racing Supporters
Club for 2012. We really do rely on the community
to help fund our vital services to families
living with a childhood cancer in Northern
Ireland. Every week in Northern Ireland, three
more children, teenagers or young adults will
be diagnosed with cancer. We’re here
to listen, and to provide practical, emotional
and financial support to them and their families.
We wish the club well for the year ahead.”
Davy Morgan commenting on Charity
and Racing; “This has been
a huge effort from everyone within in the
Davy Morgan Racing Team over the past three
years and although we as road racers are very
focused on ourselves; we have to be, it’s
great that we can also be part of helping
others out in some little way as we go about
our racing. To raise over ten grand in three
years is a great achievement and is something
we as a small team and club should be proud
off. I would like to thank the racing fraternity
for supporting us, as without them actually
buying the badges and merchandise, this would
not have happened and I hope they will continue
to support us and our chosen charities in
2012.”

ACTION CANCER in 2010
|
For the 2010 season Davy, continued
his successful association with Action Cancer,
but for 2010 it was their "Get a
Grip !" campaign, which supports
mens prostate cancer. He continued to carry
the "Pink Ribbon Logo" on his Helmet,
Leathers and Race bikes, to help promote the
charity.
The Pin Badge for 2010 again featured Davy's
famous Pink Helmet, but this time it carried
a blue riband and the "Get
a Grip !" logo and sold
at £3 each with a contribution from
each badge going to Action Cancer. It was
not as successful as the first year, but it
was not expected to be as a number of other
riders used the same idea to raise money for
their chosen charity. We did however thanks
to the generosity of the road racing fraternity
raise more money for Action Cancer and a cheque
for £1500 was presented at the Davy
Morgan Golf Day sponsored by Belfast Honda
on 25th March 2011.
Our thanks goes to all those kind people
who sold and more importantly bought our pin-badge
in 2010 and not only supported Davy, but also
this very important and life changing cause.
We hope that once again in 2011 that the racing
fraternity will show their generosity and
help to support Action Cancer and their "Breast
Cancer Awareness" and/or "Get
a Grip !" campaign.
So if you see us, please buy a badge or two
if you have not got either. To view the badge

ACTION CANCER in 2009
|
Throughout the 2009 season Davy,
had an association with Action Cancer, a major
Cancer Charity in Northern Ireland, in particular
the "Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign".
He carried the "Pink Ribbon Logo"
on his Helmet, Leathers and his Race bikes,
to help promote the charity.
He set himself a challenge to raise at least
£700, to allow at least ten women to
receive breast scans. This was to be done
with the supoort of the "Davy Morgan
#71 Road Racing Supporters Club" through
the sale of a pin badge featuring Davy's famous
Pink Helmet. The demand was way beyond what
anyone had anticipated and at the end of the
season they were able to present a cheque
for £5000 to "Action Cancer",
a further £2250 pounds to "Isle
of Man Breastcare" and 150 Euro to a
Charity in Southern Ireland.
Our thanks goes to all those who sold and
more importantly bought the badge and not
only supported Davy, but also this very important
and life changing cause. There are some of
the badges left, so we will be continuing
to sell them in 2010 at £3 each with
£1 per badge going to the "Breast
Cancer Awareness Campaign". To view the
badge or join the supporters club, click
